Creating a Perfect Cement Clinker Processing Facility
There are various ways to produce clinker. In cement industry we use a variety of materials including limestone, clay, sand, iron ore, and shale. There are also different sources of the materials. Sometimes, we mine them in distant mines. Sometimes, various industrial facilities produce enough by-products that we can use as the source of the material.
Necessary equipment to produce clinker
In order to process clinker efficiently, consider using in your setup modern trapezium mills and ball mills which are incredibly efficient at processing clinker.
There are several possible setups.
- The wet processing requires you to have a ball mill for wet processing which will process the material together with water. The materials are grinded to the fineness of 75mesh and the whole mass has sufficient flow characteristics. This slurry is then transported to special tanks where blending takes place and the whole mass is homogenized and stored. You can successfully store the mass until you need it for further processing.
- The dry process is a much different. Materials need to be separated and proportioned correctly before the processing in the mill. Preferred mill types are rotating ball mills and vertical roller mills. The mix of ingredients is moved to the mill where it is processed into a powder with an average particle size less than 75 microns. This powder is ready for further thermal processing in the kiln. Before being fed to the kiln, the material is intensely blended with a blower which ensures that the composition of the mix is even throughout. The kiln feed can be stored for further usage.
