Ball mill MShС 1500Х3000 (SM6001A) with central discharge for wet material grinding of medium hardness
Ball mill 1500x3000 with a central discharge is designed for wet grinding of various ores and construction materials grinding, as well as grinding of medium hardness minerals (mill modification for dry grinding is possible upon agreement with a customer).
The mill is used in construction, mining, chemical and other industries and operates continuously in various flow diagrams. This ball mill is capable of operating both in open and closed cycle.
The grinding mill enables to give out homogeneous (in fineness) ground product using grinding balls of different diameter. Mill capacity depends on physical and mechanical characteristics of the material to be ground, particle size on the inlet, grinding fineness, filling with grinding bodies and material, and maintenance personnel qualification.
The drum ball mill consists of a drum, charging and discharging chambers, carrying rollers, drive and feeder. The drum is a steel cylinder that has internal lining which usually consists of metal or rubber plates protecting the ball mill drum.
Rubber lining is used at the following mill operating conditions:
- ambience shall be neutral, acidity allowed not more than Рн=8-10;
- ambience temperature not higher than 800С;
- Grinding balls diameter not more than 80 mm;
- charging material size not more than 20 mm;
- drum rotating speed shall not exceed the number specified in the mill specification.
Use of rubber lining significantly prolongs the ball mill lifecycle and reduces the noise stress of the operating unit. Ball mill grinding capacity is higher when using metal lining.
Carrying roller consists of a split-type (in two planes) body and two rollers fixed on spherical bearings. Mill drive consists of an electric motor, gear box and a casing with pinion: fixed on the common frame. The ball mill can be completed with a combined or a drum feeder.
Mill charged with material and water is affected by means of a feeder and a charging plug installed on the charge cover. Material entered into the mill with water is getting grinded by grinding bodies and is to be transferred from the charge end to the discharge end under the pressure of continuously entered material.
Completely ground material in form of a slurry going through the discharge plug and a trommel proceeds for its intended purpose.
