Ball mill SM6008A with central discharge for dry material grinding of medium hardness
Вall mill SM6008А with central discharge and mesh is designed for dry grinding of various ores and construction materials of medium hardness.
The mill is used in construction, ore mining, mining and chemical and other types of industries and operates continuously in various flow diagrams in open or closed cycle.
The grinding mill enables to give out homogeneous (in fineness) ground product using balls of different diameter.
Mill capacity depends on physical and mechanical characteristics of the material to be ground, grinding fineness, feeding uniformity, filling with grinding bodies and material, and maintenance personnel qualification.
The ball mill grinding consists of a drum, charging section, discharge section, carrying rollers, discharge housing, drive and a discharge chute. The drum is a steel cylinder lined from inside with metal or rubber plates protecting it from wear.
Rubber lining is used at the following mill operating conditions:
- ambience shall be neutral, acidity allowed not more than Рн=8-10;
- ambience temperature not higher than 800С;
- charging balls diameter not more than 80 mm;
- charging material size not more than 20 mm;
- drum rotating speed shall not exceed the number specified in the mill specification.
Use of rubber lining almost completely excludes if necessary entering of a lining metal and balls to the grinding material and significantly reduces the noise stress from the working mill on the outside environment. Mill capacity is higher when using metal lining.
Carrying roller consists of a split-type (in two planes) body and two rollers fixed on spherical bearings. Mill drive is central and consists of an electric motor, gear box, and two couplings: flexible and pin coupling.
Discharge mesh is used to keep the balls and unground material in the mill. Discharge blades installed between the mesh and the discharge cover distribute the material evenly in space between the cover and the mesh and discharge it to the discharge cone. Therefore the mill capacity increases.
Mill charge with material is effected through a charging chute and a charging screw.
Material entered the mill is getting ground by grinding bodies and transferred from the charge end to the discharge end under pressure of continuously fed material.
Completely ground material going through the discharge plug, trommel and discharge housing proceeds for its intended purpose.
